Creator self-billing (§ 14 UStG), done as a real document — not a workaround

Agencies can now issue a proper self-billed settlement to a creator, with its own number series, creator approval and the same immutability guarantees as an invoice.

Most agencies pay creators against a self-written note in a spreadsheet — legally shaky, and invisible to the creator until the transfer lands. TalentM's creator settlements are a real self-billed invoice (§ 14 Abs. 2 UStG, UBL TypeCode 389): the agency is the buyer, the creator the supplier, on their own GS-YYYY-NNNN number series separate from client invoices.

The creator's IBAN/BIC is captured and frozen on the document itself, and the creator can review — and formally object to — a settlement from their own portal before it's treated as final. Once issued, the same GoBD immutability guard that locks a regular invoice locks this one too.

It closes a compliance gap most agencies didn't know they had.
