What’s the difference between a physical item and a digital key?
A PHYSICAL item is a quantity ledger: on-hand is the running sum of Received / Shipped / Adjustment / Returned / Lost movements, which are append-only. A DIGITAL_KEY item is a set of individual codes, each with its own lifecycle — Available → Assigned → Redeemed → Reported, plus Expired and Revoked.
What does the embargo date actually do?
It’s a soft, UI-warned gate around a street date ("Sperrfrist"): three days before it, a reminder scan pings the custodian and every Owner/Admin/Manager. It is not enforced by the database — legitimate early lifts happen, so TalentM warns rather than blocks.
Who is the custodian?
Exactly one person per item, granted manage-rights on that item beyond the usual Owner/Admin/Manager. They’re the accountable owner of that stock or key set — and the one the embargo reminder pings first.
Can a creator report where a key ended up?
Yes. An assignee — staff or a roster creator — self-reports a key’s placement with a report URL or note; creators do it from their own creator portal. That self-report is an ownership-checked, audited action, so the placement record stays trustworthy.
